So we are hearing we need to post more pictures…now that we have reliable internet….I guess we have no excuse. Here is the short and dirty info. and then you will get the photos.
A day before Thanksgiving we went up into the sea to check things out for a couple weeks. We spent 2 weeks hanging out in some of the most beautifully stark landscapes I have ever seen. Unfortunately we only had two weeks and are not ones to fly through places…so we only got about 60 miles North of LaPaz to a small fishing village called Nopolo. It did not matter…it was soooo amazing. We had to be back at Costa Baja (a local marina) on Dec. 11th to redeem our 1 week free of moorage. It was nice to have unlimited power and water, but we really don’t like being tied up anymore. So when we left to head back out to the magote (an achorage area here in LaPaz)…we were quite relieved…number one…we no longer felt we had to work on the boat :) and two…our friends from Seattle (Jason & Julia on s/v Danika) were going to be here to hang out for 10 days. We are now showing J&J the ropes of Mexico and having a blast. Okay…you listened to me long enough…here are the damn photos :-)
This one is for you Jason & Christy…Bocce Ball at Calieta Partida with s/v Dad’s Dream…note the bandaid is still there!
CB’s “art”…I gotta say this is a cool photo of lizard tracks
Sierra Gigantes in the distance. These mountains are amazing with their different layers of strata.
This is the little fishing town Nopolo. They are using hand lines to catch small reef fish
CB can always find a shitter…no matter where we are….this one had a hole that dumped in the river below…ahhhh Mexico.
Talk about Your picture perfect anchorages…Isla Sanfrancisco baby!
Walkin’ the ridge line trail at Isla Sanfrancisco….CB spent the whole day knockin’ rocks off the ledge.
More ridge-line at Isla Sanfrancisco
Our own private anchorage on Partida island…this is a one boat anchorage.
This is how we get rid of the paper garbage…this includes the heads butt wipe:-)
